South Somerset Mind

“South Somerset Mind wants to work towards a society where individuals who have mental health problems are accepted and included.  We aim to promote better mental health and have an holistic approach to well being and recovery.  Where social inclusion is promoted through the development of enabling activitiesand life skills, which encourages individuals to pursue independence within mainstream society.  We believe this is best achieved through the inclusion of service users in the design and operation of these activities”.

South Somerset Mind is changing…

South Somerset Mind has been delivering an adult counselling service and an open door drop in centre for a number of years; unfortunately these services are closing due to lack of funding support.  The changes also affect our two youth groups CAN and UCAN which also close at the end of October 08.  The rest of our projects and services will still be running as normal, please go to our “New look service” web page for information.

We are looking forward to building a new, more stable future whereby more adequate service provision is available for people of all ages in our local community.

If you would like to comment on the changes or to offer your support in any other way please do this in writing via email at info@southsomersetmind.co.uk

Alternatively you can write to me at the address above.

If you would like to make a donation please make cheques payable to “South Somerset Mind” all donations are gratefully received.

Kind Regards,

Marsha Miles
Chief Executive
