Find out how you can help South Somerset Mind
South Somerset Mind is an independent charity that was formed in 1985. We are affiliated to the national charity Mind, although we receive no money from them. We’re here to make sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn to for advice and support.
We aim to promote good mental health and wellbeing, to encourage greater understanding of mental health issues, to provide high standards of support and to enable genuine service beneficiary involvement in the development of our services.
I have come a long way since I joined the groups & have done things I didn't think I'd ever do. It's all thanks to coming here"

Mike Adams is a South Somerset Mind supporter and this year completed the London Marathon for us. He completed it in 5 hours & managed to raise an amazing £2000! This will make a huge difference to our charity, helping us to continue supporting local people. Mike has said:
I would like to see more support for Mental Health Charities and believe that it is not always taken seriously as an illness and therefore doesn't get the funding it deserves
Our Vanessa Project Gardening Project meets every week on a Tuesday. One visitor said:
The allotment is a lovely place to come - it makes me feel cheerful when I am here.
People like you have used your creativity and enthusiasm to raise £1,000s of pounds to help us continue our work which wouldn’t be possible without great people like you. Your support makes a huge difference to the lives of the people we support. So whether you want to make a donation, fundraise or volunteer there’s something for everyone.
