Volunteer Support Group

Aims

• To enable volunteers to have autonomy during their volunteering experience
• Meetings offer group support to all the volunteers to compliment one to one supervision
• Enables everyone to meet each other
• Allows time to discuss any issues affecting the volunteering or any new ideas people may have to improve the volunteering.

Objectives

• The group will meet bi monthly at the centre
• All volunteers will be encouraged to attend
• Volunteers run the meeting and put together their own agenda
• A staff member will be present and will feedback developments from each meeting
• Travel expenses are paid for these meetings and complimentary refreshments are made available.
