Find out how you can help South Somerset Mind
Our Yeovil Community Day is for anyone experiencing poor mental health who would benefit from attending and participating in group activities or people who just want advice and information. We provide a welcoming place where people can socialise with other people that may be in a similar situation to them, be involved in fun activities or access information, guidance, reassurance and support. Examples of activities/workshops include:
This project is run by the users of the group who plan and organises various activities and help make decisions about how the drop in day is run. The project is not funded through external means but by South Somerset Mind so there are opportunities to be involved in fundraising activities raising much needed funds.
The Community Day runs every Wednesday 9.30am-3.30pm at the Methodist Church, Yeovil (BA20 1JZ). The sessions are free but there is a small fee of £1 for the art group, which takes place in the afternoon. Our helpful and friendly Support Worker Annie is also available on the day to offer emotional support and information regarding our services plus signposting to other agencies and services.
You don't need to be referred to our Community Day or make an appointment – you can just turn up. We appreciate that it may be daunting to come along for the first time and if you call us beforehand we will ensure that there is someone ready to greet you.
